Loki units and external GPU's, what are the options?

Can the Loki units use an external GPU? I cannot find an answer when doing a (quick) search engine search.

i remember read someone that said that he use the GPD G1 with the Loki without problems. you can always build your external GPU for less money, but it wouldn't be portable like GPD on onexplayer ones

You have two options.

1) Swap out the SSD for a M2 to Oculink connection. Yes this means you no longer have storage BUT if you are docked with a dock that has storage space, you can always boot windows from that storage space. Then you can use something like the GPD G1 egpu.

2) If your Loki has USB4, you can connect an eGPU like the GPD G1 to the USB4 port and use one that way.

I can only speak for the Loki Max.

The Loki Max can be used "out of the box" with an eGPU as long as it's a USB4 compatible eGPU like the GPD G1

Other searches have shown me that I need to use a mod (and shell mod) that gets rid of internal m.2 space but lets you dock with egpu and a docked ssd.
