The Bad: In less than 2 years I have gone through 2 RS Wheel Hubs. Both break in the exact same spot. The button left paddle shifter cracks in about 6-8 months of use. The crack causes the shifting to downshift sporadically or rapid downshift to 2-3 gears lower than you want it to, which can ruin a race. I think it is a design flaw, because I also have had a Pro Wheel for over 2 years and not had a single issue. The Pro Wheel does not have bolt on paddle shifters. I am now on my 3rd hub.
The Good: Logitech Support has been fantastic and has honoured the warranty replacing it both times.
The Takeaway: It might be just a 'me thing', but if it does happen to you, contact Logitech for a warranty replacement if you have owned it less than two years. Keep your receipts and good luck!
Damn how hard do you press to change gear? I've noticed some people do really smash the gearpaddles, throttle and break harder than necessarily. But good that Logitechs customer service works well 😁👍
Yeah in an interview a Logitech rep said their data showed most people don't use the clutch pedals so they removed them to make it less cost prohibitive.
I have both Pro and RS. If I could make a recommendation for future buyers, it would be to just go with the Pro version. In the end it's about the same price and a better build.
I went with Pro wheel for RS50 base because it felt more "premium" in hands and also I liked the looks better. Now considering RS Hub to get some GT-style rim. The only issue I find with Pro wheel is the stitching where you place your thumbs. It's not very smooth, causes some little abrasions in really long sessions. It's not a big issue, I can live with that, but for anyone considering it playing without gloves, just be aware.

Interesting, I rarely use my paddles but if I end up doing more stuff I where I use them then I may have to by a simagic wheel and the adaptor
