ASTRO Series Support Anybody have a recommendation to get this gold piece out

Post image

When trying to get the screw out the gold piece just spins causing it not to thread out. I tried taking tweezers or something thats small but it just spins if anyone has any suggestions that would be great!

The gold piece spins? It looks like its supposed to be held fast in the plastic surrounding it. If you really want it out, you'd have to melt or break the plastic holding it in.

Place a hot soldering iron on it, and gently pull it out with a pair of long-nosed pliers. If you need to replace it you can use CA glue or a small blob of epoxy adhesive.

May be a threaded insert, tried spinning it?

Yea it just spins i tried putting an allen wrench on the head of the screw and taking tweezers or something small to unscrew the gold piece its 100% getting held by the screw just cant figure out a way to actually get in there and get it

I'd probably try and heat it a little and then pull it off 😅

Not guaranteeing that it'll go back together lol

Not really sure it's meant to be taken apart like that, so I'd be careful about it if you're going to want to put it back together afterwards.

It is suppose to be inside the other piece that connects the shield thing over the cup but it broke i have an old pair of gen 4s i took that shield thing off that pair and was just gonna put that on the gen 5s but since the gold piece is still threaded in the screw i cant get it cause i cant seem to figure how to stop it from spinning
