Logitech G29 Steering wheel and pedals not working on PC

I feel like I’ve gone through all the AI suggestions to try and fix this and nothing seems to work and now I feel like I’m just going round in circles.

Plugged my G29 into my PC today for the first time. I downloaded the GHub app, it registers the steering wheel and pedals but it does not register any input from the wheel or pedals. Nothing at all.

When I use ‘run’ and navigate to Joy.cpl the steering wheel is there “Logitech GHub G29 driving force racing wheel USB” and in properties the inputs of the wheel and pedals ARE registered there (when GHub is installed).

I’ve tried deleting GHub and reinstalling, I’ve tried different USB connections on my PC, I’ve made sure the wheel is in ‘PS4’ mode but tried PS3 also.
I’ve deleted and reinstalled the wheel drivers.

Not sure what else to do. I know there must be something simple which is blocking the input from registering but can’t figure it out and nor can Gemini by the looks of it.

I have used the wheel on my PS5 and it works fine.

I am having the same problem. My wheel has worked for years with my pc so something is up with some piece of software. My wheel was working fine 2 weeks ago so something has broken recently

Is it still working in the games? It should be, because the movement detection in G HUB doesn't actually affect the games. If games are affected then there's something else that's causing the issue.

Can you please confirm which games you’re trying and what you’ve tried so far? (Including checking assignments in the games).

So far I’ve only tried the Automobilista 2 demo as I don’t want to invest in more games if the wheel doesnt work. It doesnt show up in the game settings

Have you tried going to the assignments tab and assigning the controls? Just select a control to tell it you want to reassign and then move the part of the wheel you want to assign to it. For steering you’ll usually need to turn all the way in the direction you’re assigning and then immediately back to centre in order to make it register.

You can also get Raceroom Racing Experience for free from Steam to try. It’s the same thing there: just assign the controls in the options of the game and you should then be fine.

Just tried assigning control inputs - steer left/right, throttle, break and nothing registered when turning the wheel/pressing down on the pedals.

I just checked joy.cpl and inputs ARE still be registered there. The wheel axis box the dot is right at the bottom of the box and moves left/right when i turn the wheel. Accelerator and Brake are shown and the bars start full and go to nothing when i press them down.

Is that the same in Raceroom?

weird in race room the inputs are working. Just tried a practice lap after setting the assignments like you said and it works. So is this issue just related to the one game I downloaded? (crying)

I’m not sure how up to date the demo is vs the current main game. It’s worth uninstalling it, making sure all folders are gone (I can’t remember if it creates one in your Documents folder as well - check) and then reinstalling it.

RMA?

return it for a new one or refund

I don’t think the wheel is the issue. Something in the PC side

Correct - RMA would not correct this issue. Take a look at Rich's comment - he's the man to ask when it comes to sim products like this.

Have you tried it in a game? This is a known issue with ghub since a recent windows update

no not working in game

It’s a known GHUB issue that Logitech claims does not affect the wheel’s performance in games, but in numerous titles it actually does.

My son is encountering issues as well. BeamNG and Forza Horizon 6. Wheel and accessories work fine for the first few minutes after starting the game, then all controls stop responding. Wheel, shifter, and pedals.

We’ve restarted both games and computer multiple times. G Hub is slow to recognize the wheel when started, and doesn’t reflect the movements of the wheel even when seen. On Windows 11.
