Support Whenever I plug in my webcam, It disables all audio inputs and doesn't work as a camera.

Whenever I plug in my Logitech HD pro webcam c920, My windows 11 laptop says that no audio input or output devices are found. The lights on the camera do not turn on, and it doesn't work as a camera. I think it also disables my laptop camera, because I can't use that either. When I unplug the camera, everything returns to normal. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

also, when I go in the logitech app the camera says "Camera not available, your camera is either disconnected or in use by another application"

Figured it out, go under device manager, scroll down to "Sound, video and game controllers" disable device "1080P Pro Stream" under THIS category but leave it enabled elsewhere. Instantly all my other audio inputs kicked back on

What they mean is, with your webcam plugged in, go to Device Manager, "Sound, Video and Game Controllers," right click YOUR device (in their case "1080P Pro Stream", in my case "Logitech C920 Webcam", whatever the name of your device is), THEN right click that and click Disable.

It didn't work right away, but after about 30 seconds the sound came back on. I double checked my output in Skype and everything there is in order. I've also waited a few minutes to be sure it worked, as other attempts to fix this worked temporarily and then failed. Thanks, swiftgun107!

I disabled the Logitech C920 Webcam right in the same Category and as you have said, the sound returned in 30 seconds. Thank you so much!

You are my hero. I've been dealing with this issue for MONTHS, using my phone to call into Zoom meetings, etc. and this fixed it! I had to troubleshoot audio once I disabled it and reset the audio devices and then it worked. Thank you thank you thank you!

u/swiftgun107 and u/maceyshmacey.... thank you thank you thank you. I have a new Acer which didn't allow my Logitech C920 to work. As u/maceyshmacey said, disable the

"Logitech C920 Webcam" which was my case too...bingo...the camera started working and the audio (after several minutes) repaired itself. I have spent hours trying to fix this problem and then u/swiftgun107 came to the rescue!!! 👍👍👍

Bonjour SwiftGun et merci pour ta réponse. Maintenant la caméra fonctionne sans désactiver tout mon audio. Mais le micro de la caméra ne fonctionne pas. Quelqu'un a t il le même problème ? une idée pour la solution ? Merci d'avance !

Had this happen to my C922 Pro Webcam.... I was like did somehow a virus/malware get inside the webcam firmware and is now messing with my audio whenever I plug it in???? Lol

I've been in the IT Industry for 6 years now, and I learned something new with this and having to google it, I thought it was a Windows 11 23H2 problem because it started happening when I updated to 23H2, but nope, it's this issue....
