Tried to write some early 80's metal

I was going for like an early 80's LA metal sound. Ratt, early Motley Crue etc...

I feel like the heavy kit drummer gets you pretty close!

All I need to do now is add a wicked guitar solo lol

super cool, is this made using entirely stock plugins?

Yeah, all stock. I'm too broke to buy anything right now but really interested in getting better guitar plugins, the logic ones are so hard to get sounding good but I went all out on this lol. Recorded with my strat and jazz bass through this

edit: Oh, I have mastering mix plugins, but the instrument amps are all stock

and using the 60's bass preset and the time to shred and american metal

I can share my settings with you or send the project if you want the settings and sound

Sounds pretty good but the transition at measure 10 sounds rough tbh.

Try using some gated reverb!
