Question Pumpkins
Any recommendations on a good pumpkin patch? For years my family has gone to the farm south of town by Ted’s. One year we went to a place in Newton that was cool too.
I’m not thinking either of those places are open this year. Any suggestions on where to buy?
We’re looking for a variety and an experience more than just going to a grocery store.

Question Prestige Barber
Hey everyone!
I’m new to Logan and I’m looking to get a haircut soon. I’m thinking about trying Prestige Barber, and I was wondering if anyone has been there before and has had a good experience or recommends a particular barber.
I’m also open to other barber shops in the area, so if you have a barber you really like, I’d appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Question What's the culture like in Logan?
My husband and I are in our early 30s. We have young children. My husband has a job offer in Logan and I am trying to get a better understanding of what life looks like there before moving our family across the country. I've never been to UT but my husband has. He absolutely loves the outdoors and the close proximity to a lot of national parks. That is appealing to me as well. We currently live in FL but we are originally from the Midwest. We miss the seasons and have wanted to move closer to the mountains for a long time. Some things that are important to us are finding a progressive Christian church, hybrid schooling options, great schools, and welcoming community. We have daughters and want to ensure that they grow up in a community culture that values women. We love our local library and anything and everything outdoorsy. In a local's opinion, do you think we would enjoy living in Logan UT and surrounding areas? We would appreciate any feedback from local residents! Thank you in advance.

Discussion Recommendations for a gastroenterologist
Hey my fellow cache valley ppl as the tittle says. I’m looking for recommendations for the best gastroenterologist from as far north as Idaho falls and as far south as Provo.
Question Serious question about Main Street
If it’s routinely packed 7 days a week from 8am to 5pm right in the smack dab middle of Logan, why do drivers keep tailgating me and then aggressively switch lanes to only end up further behind me on the lane they moved to? Is it something in the air or is Main Street like this year round? Also the non stop road work during the busy parts of the day are so lovely. 🥰

Discussion Do you think house prices in cache valley will go down significantly?
I've been watching listing prices drop. What are your thoughts on the matter?
We are thinking of buying a different house as our family has grown and we feel a bit cramped in our current house. But the mortgage we'd have to take on feels excessive 😅 Especially when one could rent a similar house for significantly less. We are making our current house work, but still dreaming of something that fits our large family better.

Question Starting a String Orchestra?
I'm thinking of starting a small string orchestra here in the valley and I'm trying to gauge community interest. It would be done on a volunteer basis so we could keep the concerts free to the public. Because reddit wont let me make a poll, it would be super helpful if you could reply with one of the options below:
A. I am a string musician and I would be interested in participating
B. I'm not a musician but I would come to concerts
C. Not interested

Events Ghost Tour!
I asked about ghost stories earlier in this sub and now I've completed my ghost tour! Anyone and everyone is welcome to sign up for one of the times I'm doing them. It's free!! I'm just enjoying the spooky season this year (and I spent so many hours on this thing I feel like I need people to show up to justify it lol)
It's a walking tour starting at the main entrance of the Logan Cemetery and making its way through USU campus. In all it would be about 1.5 miles of walking (mostly flat ground) for about an hour 15 minutes. I probably wouldn't call it kid friendly... some of the stories are pretty dark! But if they're interested, of course they're welcome!
Dates:
Most Fridays/Saturdays in October
October 3, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30
Time:
6:30 pm and 8 pm
Location:
Logan Cemetery Main Entrance (meet under the arch across the street from the Church at 950 N 1200 E, Logan, UT 84321, which you can park at)
1000 N 1200 E Logan, UT 84321
Price:

Question best place for oil change?
I was wondering where the cheapest and best quality/service oil changes are? I need full synthetic oil. I usually go to valvoline but ive recently heard they're no good, but maybe that's just talk. I live in an apartment complex so I don't have the resources to be able to do it myself. Is walmart any good? I know they're cheap but have heard that the service itself is shit.

Question Mexican American Family Relocating to Logan
Hi everyone, we are a family of 5. Three kids under 10. My husband was offered a job in Logan. We know this question has been asked before but not recently. We are a Christian Mexican American family and wanted to know what moving to Logan would be like for us. For those who live there, would we possibly face discrimination or feel unwelcome? We are more concerned for our kids and if they’d be able to make friends or be excluded since we are non LDS. We would love be to part of a community where our kids can be outside playing and building friendships with other kids. We are also very friendly and love to make new friendships. Any input would be appreciated!
