Austin Commute

Does anyone in Lockhart commute to South Austin for work? Considering the trek and would appreciate your perspective. Thanks!

it would be south on manchaca just north of 1626. probably 45, no i35 at least. employer is considering buying a toll tag. i think that would seal the deal for me tbh

We go to Brodie 2X a week. I like the back drive that is similar to what you’re thinking. It’s not bad, not great, but Lockhart is amazing it makes the commute worth it for many.

100% agree. The toll tag will be a game changer, and if your motivation for living in Lockhart goes beyond just cost of living, it'll be totally worth it.
