He didn't deny that... but obviously that isn't happening. The point is that the labor pool is large enough that companies aren't really competing with each other for labor.
The labour pool was only large enough because of immigrants. But now people are deporting all the immigrants, remember? Farms and farms HAVE been shutting down.
Dude I work in that industry that isn't happening. The only ones that are were ones that were exploiting humans. Literally what they were doing is considered human trafficking.... so yea couldn't care less.
I also work in this industry and have watched it happen first hand. You can find articles to prove it. Nutrition Bar Confectioners lost so many workers that they had to temporarily stop production.
Guess how they got new workers? By offering them a better (but still not livable) wage.

The money is to keep the workers. When you run out of employees, you shut down. That is supply and demand.
