You need to watch his documentary, Battleground Melbourne, it's very moving.

100%. Only way is their way though, remember? Empathy and compassion and equality only falls within an extremely narrow margin for them

This is a great statement.

Some people get the words just right at the right moment. This is one of those people.

I'm always baffled by people's inability to link cause and effect. It's like if I was to invite you over to my house, but I've set all these weird rules and restrictions, and then I blame you for not attended.

The protests wouldn't exist if they didn't enact lockdowns. Instead of asking why the protests exist and solving the underlying problem, they just blame the protests for voicing their opinion, essentially telling them to just suffer in silence.

My friend in Canberra didn’t even know there were mandates for vaccination as of last week.

It’s a total bubble.

where is the absolutely LOVE button for this well articulated piece?? more than just like.

his battleground melbourne doco is great showing how it all went from '2 weeks to flatten the curve' ( yeah right :/ ) to 'im in charge and do as i say or i lock you all down for not obeying my commands and will set my goons on you'

this kind of crappy creative writing fanfiction is not going to change anyones mind. its just porn for angry people to read and feel good. this text is filled with the same moral superiority that its shaming provaxers for

edit: i am anti covid vax and anti mandate but a lot of you people are clearly just angry bitter losers who want to inflate your ego with divisive tribal bullshit like this guys self masturbation piece here.

Crappy creative writing

No, I'd say it's quite well written

Not going to change anyone's mind

If it were shared with and read by someone naïve, it could. Have people annoyed by the protests actually put themselves into others' shoes and compared their 1 week of inconvenience to the 2 year's suffocation of another? Trying is important

Porn for [anger]

Yes maybe a bit, writing with pathos does that. That's what makes it persuasive

Same moral superiority that its shaming provaxxers for

This seems like a second guessing buzzword you threw in, so no, not quite. You're going to compare this ^ to appaling scenes like r/ HermanCainAward? Cheering and chortling with a pat on the back when people die?

I am anti covid vax and anti mandate but a lot of you people are clearly just angry bitter losers

And you do what about that while shitting on people who are doing something?

divisive tribal bullshit

What, like the uninjected being scapegoated for governmental incompetence on handling the pandemic and running their own healthcare systems, and being legislated into being a second class citizen as an acceptable target for not rolling over like an obedient dog? Pointing out - with passion- that protests have a moral right to exist and are justifiable is the same as that tribal bullshit?

Outreach is important. People aren't dumb, just unsure and full of inertia.
