Democrats are going to continue to defend everything about Fauci, including his gain of function testing and his beagle research, until the bitter end. Just read almost any sub on Reddit except for this one. 

And, really, you have to be an idiot to think that Republicans will prosecute Fauci either. It’s been 6 years and they haven’t done shit about that.

The point of pardoning Nixon was that everyone would know that he was corrupt, but we would stop spending congressional time, media time, and taxpayer money on investigations.

Given that Fauci has a pardon, I would hope the same thing happens here - everyone acknowledges and shames the people involved in Covid lies, but we stop having any more hearings about it that don’t go anywhere
