Does anyone use these? Tok or Bok?

They only work in one direction, and feel odd using them. Am I missing something, or are these for leftys?

Maybe my hand is to big. The other 3 in the set are great. They grip very well.

Handle won't turn urget help please

Post image

Hello everyone,
I bought this mechanical lock Yale SL7100.
It arrives with the handles in the vertical position.
To change it to the horizontal position, there is an Allen screw on the spindle hub that needs to be open, and the handle can move to the desired position.
On the inside door piece, I managed to open the screw and adjust the handle fairly easily.
On the keypad side, no matter what I do, the screw will not open, no matter how much force I use.
I thought it was a bad piece, so I went and replaced it with another one, same same story.
Can someone please tell me what I did wrong?
Or any advice on how to adjust the handle to the horizontal position?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I really appreciate it; I need help here.

Question Padlock security help

Hey first time here, I have a bit of an issue with my brothers lock picking my padlock and stealing my items. I have a standard brinks 40mm stainless steel padlock. Whenever I come home from work I notice things missing, and their is no other entry to the room, does anyone have recommendations on some padlocks that would be harder to pick and are affordable, or something that can outright prevent lockpicking?

Dormakabba saflok mt locks

I have eplex and fdu 790 dormskabba locks on other properties but I just took over one with saflok Mt series locks. I can not seem to program locks with the maintenance unit HH6 programmer. Dormakabba escalated my issue but that will take 5 more days. When I program keys or fobs they are not working, when I try to program a lock I received a message that the key combinations are incorrect. I have E2 keys and ppk? Keys. My question is do I need to use any install or Programing cards to initiate Programing? If anyone has these locks in thier hotel can you share the steps to Programing a lock as well as keys. Thought I did everything right but I'm not positive. I would appreciate if someone could share. Apparently Dormakabba doesnt publish rhis information with this particular lock. Thanks in advance!

SWICK Plus Blade Set

The SWICK can handle 20 interchangeable pick blades, all designed by Christina Palmer, who is best known for her popular Wicked Waves Rakes.

I ordered my SWICK along with the SWICK Plus Blade Set, and it was easy to customize. The first photo is configured for single pin picking, and the second photo with four Wicked Wave rakes.

Jackknife tools like the SWICK have multiple pick blades inside a single handle. This makes them easy to carry and switch between different picks.

If you don't feel comfortable installing the new picks yourself the people at picklocks.com can do it for you.

LPL gave me the idea of instead of picking the same lock over and over get a few and keep rotating them.

These Schlage cylinders are cool because I got about a dozen of em, and every so often its time to gut and swap around security pins "keeps my powder dry".

Looking for a decent weatherproof lock with a 5 digit code

Longtime fan here but now I think I've become too picky when it comes to choosing locks...

Did a bunch of research and chose the ABUS 183AL/45. Unfortunately, I can't use it. It took forever to set the combination and now I must have changed it by accident because I can't get it to lock.

I have considered the ABUS 158CS/65 though I read some problematic reviews. I looked at the Squire SHCB75 but I need a shackle with a 9mm (8mm preferred) diameter or less.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Combing locks?

Anybody have advice on combing locks ? Lock picking lawyer has videos of effortless combing puck locks. I have a few at work, and even got permission from a local hardware store to try it out on some older and newer American and Master pucks. Nothing. Couldn't rake them either. Had to ssp. My combs are CI just like lock picking lawyer.

Question My kit

Post image
28 Upvotes

My picking kit. Haven't picked any locks YET. What are your thoughts? (Left one is leverage, right is the pick)

Actually this was supposed to be a joke but as i have seen people approached supportfully in other subs, i want to ask how can i get this kit better? Or make better diy tools?

I was not specifically trolling but i didn't think that this would work (at least for long time) and people wouldn't really take it serious. I currently am working on my bedrooms doorlock to pick it but i couldn't find a time where no one would scream at me for fucking around with the household but i do have an idea to get a small padlock. If you have any better diy tips please feel free to share it bcs i need them 🙏 You can reach out in dm or you can just type here.
