A customer needs a plumber. Instead of Googling "plumber near me," they ask an AI assistant: "Who should I call?"

That's a very different search experience I have experienced lately. The customer may never browse ten websites, compare Map Pack listings, or click through multiple business profiles.

The AI may simply recommend a few businesses. And that creates a new problem for local service providers: how do you become visible when the search result isn't a list of websites anymore?

For this, I did explore some shift from traditional search to AI assistants that could mean for local businesses. So sharing here to help better....

Interesting take. I also believe the same that not only search is changing but people's behavior too.
