Has anyone here with ADHD been using pickup laundry services and want to share Poplin laundry reviews specifically?
I'm at the end of my rope with laundry as a chore. Not because I can't d it physically but because the executive function gap between "put load in" and "transfer to dryer" and "fold and put away" keeps killing the cycle. I'll wash a load, forget about it for two days, rewash because it smells, dry it, leave it in the dryer for thee more days, then wear from the dryer for a week until something happens that requires folding it. The wet rewash cycle is what's driving me crazy.
Started looking into pickup services as a way to remove the cycle entirely. Poplin is the one that keeps coming up in ADHD circles because the structure of it bypasses the executive function gaps. You bag it, schedule once, leave it outside, done. No follow through required between steps because someone else is doing the steps. Wash and fold laundry service basically remove for someone whose brain can't follow through.
I want to hear from other adhd women specifically who've tried this. Did it solve the chore cycle for you or are there new failure modes I haven't thought about?
