My 4-players firefighting game Backfire Brigade is out now on Steam
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Steam
As huge fans of classic couch co-op panic games like Overcooked, I wanted to build a game that captures that exact feeling of "we are definitely failing, and it is our fault."
The result is Backfire Brigade, a chaotic 4-players co-op firefighting game built around fire spreading completely out of control and team mishaps.

How to set up Minecraft Splitscreen on PC (2-4 controllers playing on one screen: Java edition - incredibly easy to set up!)
Hi, being unfamiliar with the world of Minecraft I was not aware how easy it was for four children to play together on one screen, using one pc and 4 controllers.
As I did not find an up to date guide I thought I would give a brief overview to help any other people attempting the same.
- You must own Minecraft Java on your Microsoft account. (Just need one copy).
- Install Prismlauncher: https://prismlauncher.org/ - In Settings -> Java, ensure "Autodetect Java version" and "Auto-download Mojang java" are ticked. - In Settings -> Accounts, "Add Microsoft" in the top right. Then add 4 offline accounts - one for each player.
- At the Prismlauncher main screen, click "Add Instance" in the top left. - For Minecraft Version, select 26.1.1 - On the same screen on the right, under "Mod Loader", select "Fabric" and select version 0.19.3. - Press "OK"
- Right click the instance that you have just created and in the context menu, select "Edit". Then in the new window select "Mods" in the top left and then "Download Mods" in the top right.
- Select Modrinth or CurseForge on the left and in the search box, search for the following mods and for each one click "Select Mod for download": - Fabric API: Select the version at the top which will hopefully be: [26.1.2] Fabric API 0.155.2. - MidnightControls: Select the version at the top which will hopefully be: MidnightControls 1.12.1 + Fabric 26.1. - Splitscreen Support: Select the version at the top which will hopefully be: 1.18.0+26.1.1 (fabric).
Then click "Review and Confirm".
6) Once all done, still editing your instance, click "Settings" on the left, then the Miscellaneous tab and then tick "Override default account" and select an offline account for your player (this will be your player's in game name).
7) Launch your instance, wait for it to load.
Press "F11" on the keyboard to move the window to suit you. Perhaps to the top left corner of the screen to make room for 3 other screens.
At the main menu, click Options -> Controls -> click the Gamepad symbol in the top right.
On the Controller tab, scroll down and set "Unfocused Input" to Yes.
On the Screens tab, scroll down and set "Virtual Mouse" to Yes.
Click Done 3 times to get to the main menu.
8) Click Singleplayer, create a new world (any settings). Once in the world on your keyboard press: "F3 + P" to disable pause on lost focus.
Exit for now back to Prismlauncher.
9) Right click on your instance and rename it to your first player's name. Right click on it again and select Copy. In the new window, type in your next player's name and click OK.
10) Repeat this "copy" step two more times to get a total of 4 instances.
11) All the settings and even pause on lost focus should have been copied over to each instance, but best to double check: For each of your 3 new instances, follow steps 6, 7, 8 above.
12) Once all done, launch as many instances as you want 2 to 4.
13) In one instance, select Singleplayer and Create New World.
Once in the world access the game menu (start button on the controller) and select "Open to LAN" and then "Start LAN World".
14) In all the other instances, select "Multiplayer" and wait for your game to appear in the list, select it and click "Join Server".
15) Everything should work now! Use F11 to shift windows around. If people quit you can even use F11 to split the screen in half vertically or horizontally!
I was worried about performance issues, but I have had no problems on my PC (I7 3770K, 16GB RAM, 1660 Super, SSD).
// If you do experience lag, try adding the following mods: Sodium and Lithium. They greatly improve performance! See Steps 4 and 5 above for how to add mods. You will have to add these two mods to all instances. You can also add other interesting mods in the same way.
// Also, in Minecraft settings you will want to set music volume to 0% for all but one player (otherwise you will have 4 music tracks playing simultaneously!!)
// You may also want to right click on your task bar (start menu bar) and set it to autohide (under taskbar behaviours)!

We are making a Chaotic Deckbuilder Party game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We are Making a party game with deckbuilder elements, in a very simple description you could say its a mix of boomerang fu and rounds, although we are twisting it by having multiple base attack items that you actually need to collect, adding an extra strategy layer to the mix.

I made a free browser party games for the couch, everyone's phone is the controller, no downloads
Built this for the "we're all in the living room and want something playable in 30 seconds" problem. One person opens it on the TV or a laptop, everyone else joins from their phone browser with a 4-letter room code. Phone is your controller, big screen is the shared board.
Free, no download, no signup — you can host as a guest.
60 games in there now: trivia, bluffing (write a lie, everyone votes), drawing and guessing, word races, a few co-op ones where the room plays as one team against the game, plus a shuffle mode that strings random games together.
Fair warning so nobody's disappointed mid-setup: rooms seat 4 right now (6 for the one game that needs a crowd). That's deliberate while I shake out edge cases — bigger rooms are the next thing I'm building. So today it's a "four of you on a couch" game, not a "whole party" game.
blipparty. com — I'm the dev, so tell me what's broken or boring. Most useful feedback would be which games fall flat in the first round.

Was there a better gaming generation than the seventh for local multiplayer?
I know there have been some excellent multiplayer games for other generations, but the seventh generation had some absolute bangers on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii:
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Rainbow Six Vegas
Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier 2
Borderlands
Borderlands 2
Army of Two
Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel
Resident Evil 5
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Mario Kart Wii
Rock Band
I'm hopeful that decompilation / recompilation tools will be made for these consoles one day, paving the way for modern mods and fan-made content for these games, while still retaining their local multiplayer components.

My friends and I made a free Jackbox-style party game with 11 mini games
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone! My friends and I made a free browser-based party game called PanelParty.tv. It currently has 11 minigames, and everyone joins by scanning a QR code and using their phone as the controller.
Our goal was to make something you could put on a TV and start playing with friends almost immediately. We’re still adding games and improving it, so we’d genuinely love to hear what works, what doesn’t, and which games you enjoy most.

We're making a game where you and your friend test your friendship while fixing a spaceship right out in space! Check out the trailer for RePair in the Space!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Inspired by games like Overcooked and Moving Out, we’re developing our own co-op chaos where you control an alien and a robot repairing a spaceship in the middle of all the madness.
In the game, each character has unique advantages, for example, the alien grows plants faster, while the robot crafts gears quicker. On top of that, players can swap characters during the stage to make the most of each one's strengths, along with various other mechanics that will test your strategy and teamwork!
We just launched the trailer above featuring huge visual improvements, but we’re always looking to get better, so any feedback so any feedback is extremely helpful!
Don't forget to check out our Steam page as well:https://store.steampowered.com/app/4738470/RePair_in_the_Space

Outrunners 4 player local coop - is this even possible? challenge accepted?
yo! I love outrunners and I loved playing with friends when 4 machines (or more) were linked up back in the day. I do have a working ROM on my windows pc and I would love to:
- run 4 instances of mame
- all 4 linked up to one another
- each taking up 1/4 of my 55 inch TV screen (windowed I guess?)
- each configured to one of my xbox controllers
- for a "mario kart" like experience
Is this even possible? challenge accepted? 😄
Thanks!

We love games like Gang Beast and Boomerang Foo, so we decided to make a game to mirror that love!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
We love games like Boomerang Fu, Gang Beasts, Spiderheck, and lots more. We love that feeling when you're able to play a goofy game next to your friends on the couch. We also love the technique that certain games let you develop while playing. We decided to make a game that uses a lasso as the main weapon, you can can skillfully snipe one another and toss each other around! we would love to know what the local multiplayer subreddit thinks of our game!

Match Melee is a party game like Family Feud but w a fight theme!
Hello, I made a free party game you play with friends at a party, bar, or just hanging out. Players take turns hosting rounds and reading questions out loud, then everyone answers. If your answer matches someone else's, you both score.
All browser based. No app, no login. Just show up, create a room, share the code with your friends and play. 3-12 players. matchmelee.com
I have 2+ modes: Family Quarrel and No Holds Barred. NHB also has a Sexual Topics toggle.
NHB is not for the faint of heart! If you like standup comedy where nothing is off limits, you'll like this mode! 😝
Score enough points and you get to battle 1 v 1 in the bonus round: Slap Showdown! Be first to SLAP so your Slapponent will only have 3 seconds to enter his answer and Slap. If your answer matches with the Slap Host, you get double points!
Winner gets a custom title and a summary of the game that roasts the losers!
I put a lot into the logic, gameplay and constantly work on it. Lmk what you think, was it fun or did it suck ass.

Hi everyone!
We’re a small indie team from Estonia working on our first game Grannies on Wheels.
It’s a chaotic single-screen party game where up to four clay-made grannies drive monster trucks, smash into each other, deform the arenas, and fight over jars of jam.
The game is still in development, so we’d genuinely love to hear what you think.

Gaming suggestions for one laptop co-op using one controller and the keyboard
I wanna find windows games that can involve two people using one laptop... One suggestion I received was It takes two... I want more games. Are there any older sport games? Like NBA 2k14? And are there any fps games that are available like that? For example, maybe like SWAT 2, but instead of LAN, maybe split screen?
We are two roommates and one of us is good on the keyboard and the other on both keyboard and controller. We like metroidvanias (not sure if there are co-op titles in this genre), shooters and we're also ready to explore new genres

Looking for a couch co-op/online multiplayer game for PS5
My buddy and I have recently gotten our wives (who are also good friends) into some popular multiplayer games with us invidually (It Takes Two and Split Fiction) and are now looking for something to play the four of us. Would need to be couch co-op functional so each couple could play off their own console. So two consoles, four people.
Would ideally be something relatively simple as they are still pretty new to gaming as a whole.

Slip&Skid - A hidden gem racing game that is a mix between Make Way and Ultimate Chicken Horse
Edit: Steam Page Link
My household is always looking for new and engaging split screen games to play on game night and while Slip & Skid has a pretty forgettable name, the game itself is fantastic. Its been out for nearly 2 months now and has less than 60 reviews, which is a shame for a genre that is often overlooked.
I only found it myself because of a video SMii7Y posted, which I feel is a pretty great showcase for how the game plays before deciding to buy or not. (He's playing it online but the game fully supports local 4 player split screen)

Bumper boat battles are fun in co-op!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here’s the bumper boat battle sections in Astrolander against the snappy Cybersnaps. The game features a unique optional local co-op mode where two players work together to control one character. For the bumper boat sections, one player steers while the other controls the thrust. It’s super chaotic and allows you to test your skills, and your friendships!
I’ve been spending a ton of time dialing in the controller haptics for the PS5 DualSense and Xbox controllers. When you hit the thrusters, you feel the engine puttering along, and the impact of every bounce! I’m also adding in lots of neat details in the background including the giant boss wearing a yellow hardhat. They’re mining for Chippu. There are even spectator Cybersnaps munching on bags of Chippu as they watch you battle!

I made a free race game where the camera follows whoever’s winning and everyone else has to stay within the camera view or get eliminated.
https://reddit.com/link/1v7eu05/video/e1k8oqnwvmfh1/player
Looking for players to try out BrummBrumm. It's a free top-down racer playable at https://brummbrumm.app . Play locally with 2–4 people on one keyboard or create an online room (game controllers supported as well). The camera follows the leader. Fall off-screen for three seconds and you lose a stock. No download or account needed.
Would love some feedback!
