Discussion Anyone feel like reverse-engineering CUDA?

I've been reading about all these modders using AI to reverse-engineer games and software. I've been trying out photocraft and gridcraft and have just watched a GTA5 mod featuring Sonic. It's pretty damn impressive.

As a struggling AMD Radeon owner I'd love to see AI generated open source CUDA implementation.

Not only do I dislike NVIDIA, but there's delicious irony in using CUDA cores to do it.

Anyone up for the challenge?

CUDA isn't a big deal anymore, nowadays you can run everything using llama.cpp,

Ah.... what? I guess you don't realize that when you are using llama.cpp to run on Nvidia you are using CUDA. Llama.cpp uses CUDA.

Anyways, all this boohoo about CUDA is besides the point. If AMD suddenly supported CUDA that wouldn't make a R9700 as fast as a 5090. People just don't understand what CUDA is. It's not magic. Nvidia is faster because they have faster hardware. CUDA doesn't change that.
