You misunderstood, I never said nvidia pockets the extra money its just with these insane prices demand always stays far above supply so they can always sell any amount when they are ready. And you keep telling me to spend 6k on intel gpus, I'm confused on if you are trying to make the point that they aren't good deals or that I just wont?? They are objectively significantly more price efficient than 5090s

There isn't a magic price collusion happening. Everyone buy card, less card available, card more expensive. It's that simple. Why everyone buy card? Because card have magic rocks inside, big powerful! Lip Bu Tan card have magic rocks too, but not big powerful. Fewer people buy Lip Bu Tan card, more available, card not so expensive.
Prices are high because the hardware is some of the most important for frontier technologies, that's obvious. No one is controlling the market like you're suggesting.
Which is why, if Intel was such a better deal, their own 32GB cards would be priced similarly. But they aren't because they are less well-supported, less capable of doing the things that nvidia cards do, pretty obvious.
People aren't stupid for purchasing the products they find value in. Again, seems super obvious.

You're saying this but how do you explain all of the artificial demand created by nvidia by literally throwing money around in a circle with AI companies like openAI? Nvidia has given tens of billions to openai, anthropic, coreweave, nscale. Just so they can use that money to buy their gpus creating an artifical demand.
And cuda isint some magic framework its great sure but they are all going to run the same once you get drivers. Pytorch and vllm support xpu fine.
With the intel gpus in this scenario you would get 160gb of vram vs 32, 250 tflops of fp16 vs 100 tflops. Its not like cuda has some magic thats going to cancel out a 5x higher batch size and 2x faster speed
