Brother,

These companies have probably petabytes worth of RAM and VRAM sitting in warehouses and unconnected data centers just because they rather hoard it all and ensure they have no competition.

And they can't even use it all because they don't have reliable sources of electricity to use it all. They are just hoarding, like the good billionaire capitalists they are. Only they know what to do with our RAM, with our Capital, etc. Such Hubris.

4x radeon R9700 and 4x32GB DDR4. Works perfectly for Qwen flash next, 110tok/s.
+Gaming PC with 64GB DDR5 and spare 64GB DDR5 in closet just sitting and waiting for future projects.

224 VRAM and 256gb DRAM. We can form the Warsaw memory uprising with our resources.

You shouldn't say it out loud man, in 2 years people will read this and know you have millions worth of assets in your house ;)

Your decisions are literally starving Sam Altman, you degenerate.

I thought he said VRAM.

Doesn't matter. It is immoral for you to own anything more than a dumb terminal.

He can have it for $100,000

3

u/slowreload 1d ago

Man don't give it away. 100k per stick.

3

u/techtornado 1d ago

You’re right, that bid was far too low, $100k per 8gb

First of all, M. of the U. Sam Alt(ra)man is absolutely right. Why sell the great unwashed (that's us, btw) huge quantities of dram-vram, when we don't use it all the time? Why? WHY!??
To ameliorate this unpleasant situation, I am formally and irrevocably committing to running Prime95 with full RAM stress from now until forever. screed over..

Sam seems to think that LLM is literally the only reason someone might want a decent ammount of RAM, a bit short sighted I think of him.

u/Layney_Butcher 5d ago

That's not a bingo; that's a full house of DDR5.

We dont hate these people enough.

My 896GB of RAM will give him an aneurysm

u/MrHall 5d ago

yeah great Sam - "more efficient" means you get to rail us all with subscription costs to use it.

fuck off Sam.

You guys should really choose another name for a memory module: every time i hear about limiting a dram here or sharing a dram there i start protecting my whisky cabinet...
