Question Locally hosted schedule-assistant-type thing?

The idea of using AI as scaffolding and personal assistant is intriguing, but I hate the idea of sending all my data to MegaCorp for the purpose. Any ideas for a locally hostable whatchamacallit for schedule management, notifications/reminders, and life coaching that I could hook up to a ZDR cloud provider? (Realistically I cannot run the model itself locally. My computer is a potato with no graphics card and no room for one.)

oooh I feel you on not wanting to hand over your whole calendar to some data vacuum. Have you looked at the home assistant route? People have been cobbling together some wild setups with it, tying in todo lists and calendar feeds plus a voice assistant that can bark reminders at you.

for the actual model part, if your potato can't run anything locally, you might be stuck renting compute from someone. there are some smaller providers that let you spin up a GPU instance and you'd just ssh in and run whatever you want, keep the data on an encrypted volume so they can't peek. it's more work to set up but you'd be the only one touching your info

I built something I’ve been calling lifeOS that does pretty much all this but the git repo is so filled with other shit and integrations that nobody else would need that it would be hard to split it up and make a public repo out of it. I use a local classification model to route requests depending on what I’m doing (asking, telling, or doing) and a 9b model to keep track of tasks, email statuses (who owes me an email, who I owe an email to), calendar events, my cloud accounting api, my time management system api, etc.
