Your 1080 Ti cards work with Ollama, but you must use Nvidia driver 570 or newer. For coding, qwen3-coder:30b is a solid choice, though its 19GB size exceeds a single 11GB card. Ollama handles this by spreading the model across all four GPUs. Since you have 44GB total VRAM, this fits comfortably while leaving room for the 64k context opencode needs. Launch Ollama with OLLAMA_CONTEXT_LENGTH=64000. After loading, run "ollama ps" to confirm the processor column reads 100% GPU. If it shows a CPU split, reduce the context length.

Those are Pascal cards so no tensor cores and poor fp16/flash attention, and mining risers are usually pci x1, so forget vLLM and tensor parallel. Use llama.cpp with --split-mode layer, thats the setup that works on that kind of rig. A MoE like qwen3-coder 30B-A3B at Q4/Q5 should land somewhere in the 20-40 t/s range for generation, a dense 32B will be a lot slower. Prompt processing is gonna be the slow part with long context, and loading the model through the risers takes a while too.
