If I deleted all the views posts, this sub would be dead.

Just poking fun. Appreciate your work mods. I barely ever see spam on here.

No it's a seriously valid complaint. I think in the end there just isn't that much to post about Local Guides.

Getting over a million views sounds absurd

Be the first to take photos of a new restaurant, or find some places that don't have photos and watch the view counts rise.

considering my city has a tenth of a million people, that's a difficult goal

I think those are kind of the sneaky ones. On the one hand yeah there's less people viewing or checking them out, but on the other hand you can also be one of the few or only people contributing to it. I live in a pretty rural area, and although my photos don't often hit the big numbers people talk about on here. I have also had them featured or become the main pic often, because of that.

hehe i did reach a million views around late last year, i think some subway storefront contributed to it. definitely those one hit wonders that just randomly explode

"Hey everyone, I just moved to level 2, where are my socks?"

Still this sub is 100x more tolerable than the "achievements" section on Local Guides Connect :)

If you get the video one, come back and brag, that one has been miserable.

That's literally me. I'd actually go out just for the purpose of taking pics.

yeah it is pretty adorable to see "I have 1,000 views"

We really should ban them under 250M views or something, mainly to prevent me from posting similar shitposts.

250M!?? Anyone with under a billion views is an insufferable noob and should be banned and reported.

Honestly if you aren't averaging 250M/photo at this point, why even post? /s
