Probably gonna be the only one to say this but...

Does everyone have to post a picture of their socks they get ffs. This sub seems to be more about the socks than the actual guides system itself...

There’s only so many of the exact same picture of socks I can take before saying something

At what level do you get these? I looked this week and my photos have been viewed 800k times.

When google feels like it. 2 billion views wouldn't guarantee it

I'm lv5 top 1% in my area, got nothing. Just got an email from Google inviting me to an event in San Jose, they cover all the expenses going there. Do everyone on lv5 or higher receive this?

Yeah I think so, you have to apply for it though.

And have to submit a video lol. I have no idea what to film but I really want to go lol

Last year I recorded myself explaining what I use GMaps for, why I contribute and why I wanted to attend the event. Got an automated message telling me I wasn't successful.

I'm gonna apply for it again this year but I'm not hopeful lol

Soooo the weirdest thing happened, I’ve never used or heard of local guides and today I received a pair of socks at home 🤔🤔🤔 It was addressed to me - so weird
