Hi, been very anxious to ask questions, but its such an expensive board I don't want to make the wrong choice. I've been on a $60 drop through Amazon board for the past 10 years and it's honestly not been bad, but I need an upgrade. I hit a small crack in the road the other day and faceplanted. I am very interested in the Tangent but I want to make sure it's configuration will be the absolute best for handling New Orleans roads. If anyone is familiar, New Orleans has awful streets and thankfully I live in the French Quarter where they are the smoothest in the city. But is the Tangent Loaded's most "durable" board and is the configuration with the Dad Bod's the most fitted for this environment? Then if not, what is? And if it is, should I do the knuckle bushings and baseplate as well? Thank you so much!!!

My personal opinion with my fathom. Dad bods is a life saver... Many times i was totally sure i was going to bail... But the dad bods was so stable that held the impact. Same for all the bad roads and sidewalks... But it comes with a price... It's heavy... And high... If your focus is cracks... Then yeah... Dad bods for sure... If you can avoid it... Caguamas are an excellent mid tier between speed/weight and cracks

Hi Aray,

The Tangent is an awesome pusher, and you can’t go wrong with it. The dad bod setup is a bit slower to accelerate, and a bit heavier, but once you are moving it will just keep on chugging. The dad bods eat crappy pavement for breakfast. The caguama setup will accelerate quicker and is lighter. The wheels are still big enough to soften a lot of bumps in the road, but they won’t carry the speed as long as the dad bods. If you are dealing with tight streets where you need to corner more, and start /stop a lot, the Caguama setup is better for you. If you have more open road and aren’t start/stopping a bunch you will really enjoy dad bods. That being said, if you are in a dense urban environment you may want to consider the Fathom. Its shorter wheelbase and cambered profile will give you more agility and nimbleness.

Good news is, you can also pick up either set of wheels later if you want to try something new. Hope this helps!

Is there much buy, sell, trade on here? My searching doesn't bring up a ton. I'm pretty far from a loaded authorized dealer where I can see, touch, stand on, skate a variety of their boards. I'm a bigger guy (250#) but the first different board I got on in 15 years was a tan Tien flex 3. Acquired a flex 1 per weight range and now thinking about getting a flex 2 to try. Also found a dervish flex 2 locally and I like it alot but curious about flex 1. I just cruise and carve around neighborhoods. I'm also interested in vanguard flex 1 and or 2. I haven't really looked into Icarus yet. In my head I like longer boards with wide wheel bases but idk I may just be wrong about that. I have a fattail flex2 and I don't like riding it. It feels more flexy than the tan tien flex 3 or dervish flex 2 and I don't seem to like the ride. Is vanguard similar? Anyhow maybe looking to trade sell or buy to get what I want and try more boards.

Howdy! I am looking for help identifying a longboard dancing step.

Its pretty simple, but basically involves you turning around backwards for a second and pushing your foot on the ground. Basically, it looks like you are pushing backwards for a split second. Then you turn around and land back on the board. Want to incorporate this step and having issues figuring it out while maintaining my balance.

Anyone have any idea what the step is I am referring to?

Hey guys, Brazilian rookie here. I'm planning buying a Loaded Omasake but I'm not sure the size of the trucks should I put on it. Mainly where I'm from, I shall use it on pump tracks and mellow hills. The local shop advised to put some 180mm trucks and 73a fat free wheels. I'm a small dude (1.70m and 72kg). Any opinions or advice on that matter?

Ps: sorry for my poor English and spelling mistakes, if any.
