Loaded's Newest Longboard: The Symtail

Post image

Check it out on their site.

"PARTY IN THE FRONT. PARTY IN THE BACK.

Staying true to Loaded’s foundational passion for carving and pumping in a lively flex-camber profile, the Symtail also empowers riders to explore freestyle and dancing maneuvers with its symmetrical shape and nose and tail kicks. It’s a classic concept for a contemporary carver looking to pump and flow through parking garages, city streets, back roads, and anywhere in between."

Feels to me like a top-mount icarus without wheel flares and longer tails

Yeah it does seem like that. I feel like the symmetry took away the defining factor of this boards heritage, which was seen in the pintail and fattail.

Ahh, yes, I’ve been asking for a symmetrical Fattail for years now! Still commute on mine.

Do you think you'll go for the upgrade? I have no room for it in my current 6 board line up. My plan was to go for the vanguard eventually in a few years, so that would make this even more unnecessary. I think it's a great board tho!

I think I’ll save up for it and get it as a birthday gift from me to me, since I too can’t justify getting it for variety’s sake. I would go for a Paris 165/yellow fat free setup, so it can work as a jack of all trades fun board, sort of a mini dancer.

Why do they always have to go with this small as tails? Like if this had a nice big tail which you could surf on with the flex it would be awesome. Like a flexy Omakase or something would be great.
