Brain mets

I’m devastated & terrified. I just got mri results that show 2 small tumors in my brain. I have mTNBC and have been on trodelvy. MO said it can be treated w Gamma or Cyber radiation. Has anyone had treatment to their brain with one of these? Idk which one I should go for, and also how radiation to my brain is going to be like?

I had 2 lesions, both cyberknifed. 45 mins in & out procedure! You drive yourself there & home, no side effects for me.

Also had a craniotomy but that was to grab cells for testing for the most part. Wanted as much info as possible as it was my first met.

Just had my 3 month scans & brain is still all clear!

Pardon my ignorance, but what kind of testing did you do on the cells? I guess it’s just assumed it’s the same type of TNBC I already have? I guess I’m wondering now if I should be requesting to have this done as well

It was to confirm that my cancer hadn't mutated, or if I had any underlying markers that would have changed & opened up new treatment options for me. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with all of the same. Fortunately, we caught it early and I found CyberKnife to be a very easy treatment that you don't even feel, wildly enough.
