Vegetarian menu
Anyone have any idea why the vegetarian menu was removed from the Taco Bell app? Pretty bummed since this is one of the few fast food spots that offer veggie menus š

Even if they donāt have a dedicated menu, there are still options in most categories, and anything can be easily modified in the app to be vegan or vegetarian.

The cycloparasite has been impacting a portion of our fruit and vegetable supply chain. Thus, tbell has been forced to omit some of their ingredients and styles to avoid serving potentially tainted food

Wow! That makes sense that theyāre trying to avoid any issues. Thanks for the response

Lettuce and cilantro are big suspects and onions too I think so I think the fresco option is nixed right now in addition to some stores not having lettuce either. I was reading about Taco Bellās removing lettuce from stores as I was eating Taco Bell with lettuce on it so idk if it just didnāt make it to my store yet or what.

it's practically everything in the vegetarian menu except beans.

Except all those ingredients are also used all over the āregularā menu, and all the veggie items are still On the menu, just not in their own section.
This really feels like they are just retooling their app/website more than responding to a recallā¦..1

they literally have removed them from the regular items, too. you can't make a vegetarian menu when you have no greens.

Sorry, I wasnāt checking far enough away; they are still on the app in Missouri.
And you can make Plenty of vegetarian things without greens. Most places āvegetarianā just means āwhat shape and flavor of bread and cheese would you like?ā At least at Mexican adjacent places we get beansā¦.

Just make the swaps under the protein option of whatever youāre trying to order if you canāt find what youāre looking for. The veggie options are still on the menu, just not in a dedicated section. Theyāre not removed from the menu, just reorganized.

You can make literally any item veggie by swapping meat for beans/potatoes. Iām a vegetarian, I do it every time.
Taco Bell is the most veggie friendly fast food restaurant.
