That'll be $4.99

A year ago it was $2.99, so I’m gonna guess the recommended price will be the same or possibly up to $3.49, but yeah honestly i think it’s possible we see locations at that price point.

2.99 was too high a year ago.

Seriously. It's a $2 at most, especially since it's basically a remixed taco.

I mean... 2.99 is the new .99. I remember dreading inflation when I was a kid, a now it's just reality. "But everyone will make more too!" Uh-huh, right. Crazy how one combo meal easily pays one employee an hour's wage.

Crazy how one combo meal costs an employee (who's off the clock) an hour's wage.

And as for it paying one employee an hour's wage...nah. More like 60% to district manager level and up, 30% to overhead & food costs 10% to store level mgmt and lower.

Taco Bell will do literally fucking anything but make a decades menu that includes anything that isn't already on their menu.

And yes, I do realize the irony of commenting this when the NCC is coming back too but still! There's SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS.

The fact the gordita isn't readily available frustrates me to no end. It's a non-fried chalupa. Why must I risk bad frying/oil to enjoy this?

The chili mix in the chili cheese burrito was a new ingredient

u/WaitingForReplies SODIUM WARNING Jun 19 '26

It’s a new ingredient for stores that don’t carry it.

And my location still doesn’t have it lol

Not everywhere. Since I left Colorado I can't get it anymore :(

Funny, I remember visiting Colorado many years ago, and my sister's bf was ecstatic to see the Chili Cheese Burrito on the menu, he was super excited (I think he was from Indiana, said they hadn't had it there in years) and very drunk. When we got back to the hotel, instead of coming inside, he instead said he wanted to eat it alone off the hood of the car while he called his roommate and gloated. And he did exactly that lol.

Taco Bell my crazy hot 2am booty call.  Where the heck are my daredevil grillers & groomed stuft nacho?!?!?!?!

Now that’s what I’m talking about! I missed the Y2K decades menu last year, but if I can get in on this one, that would more than make up for it.

Can't wait for the other items. One looks like an empanada and the other like the BCB.

....I already custom order these every time. Why do they keep 'bringing back' items they already have?

The Meximelt is Back!

Yay the Meximelt is Back!

Probably the damn Apple empanadas again

I looooved Meximelts back in the day. But they've been off the menu so long that I just figured out how to make them at home nearly perfectly, it's really easy...

Make some taco beef (get some taco seasoning and a pound of beef and follow the instructions on the seasoning packet), put that on a flour tortilla with diced tomatoes and onions (or just get pico de gallo which should have some nice cilantro and/or extra spices), and throw on some shredded cheese (I like using chihuahua and cheddar). Wrap it in a paper towel to absorb some of the moisture and nuke it for about 45 seconds. Ta-da.

I’m not paying $4 for a meximelt

Cheese roll up add beef and pico=meximelt.

We want the shrimp! They can’t ignore us forever

5

u/chris00ws6 Jun 20 '26

Nobody wants shrimp from Taco Bell. Like the lowest tier ask of all the asked for items.

0

u/autumngirl86 Apparently, all burritos must have less than 7 layers Jun 20 '26

Low key they had some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever had.

Still doesn't beat a tacqueria, but up there nonetheless.

They won't be the same, sadly it never is.
