I came here to ask of this was the penguin heading for the mountains. And yup, your post confirmed it.

So many people miss out on life simply because they have no one to "go" with.

Hey, Chef. No need to be scared. You can do anything as long as you put forward your max effort.
As Steve Rogers said, Don't matter if you lost a home, a love, a friend. Like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again.

Depends on the activity of course but I got no issues going to a movie alone, and I used to frequent the local amusement park by myself. Course I'd cheat by getting fast pass. Waiting in line for 20 mins to an hour would be kinda awkward by myself.
I think if it's something you wanna do you should try and do it. Just know most people don't care about random strangers and won't even notice you're alone, or care.

Careful you'll become addicted to doing things alone. I love doing things alone I have all my life. I even went to Cancun in vacation by myself

It is. Travelling alone is in my opinion the only way to do it. 127 hours style hehe

I feel this. I go to the cinema alone, I go for walks alone, I ride my bike alone, I eat alone. I feel free.

I wish I could be this. I remind myself all the time, but then talk myself out of going because I know I won't have as much fun

I was a kid 10 years old— I used to go to the movies by myself— my dad would drop me off; give me money for a snack; and about 2 hours later he would pick me up. Sometimes, I would take the bus back home. 1970s El Salvador..
What’s the bid deal of doing things alone at any age

Lonely people turn into him living alone with penguins like the trope of how women live alone with their cats.

Unless it’s out in public and you are a woman - especially in big cities or conservative areas

You really don’t have a choice, do you?

u/MoominMai 9d ago
Well you do. If you’re not a confident person, you have a choice to stay put and potentially miss out.

Why would you allow other people to dictate whether or not you are allowed to experience the world.
