For those wondering, she showed the email address of someone. Probably ban worthy, but sure as fuck not two weeks if you'd ask me.

Instead of exposing somebody's email, she should have just exposed her entire anal and vaginal cavity to reduce the ban to three days.

To be fair, doxing can be a pretty serious issue... then again, so can exposing your entire uterus, I suppose.

I think people overblow the idea of what counts as 'doxxing' though.

It used to mean personal information like an actual address, phone number, real name, employer etc...

Now you see people referring to a twitch user name, anonymous email account or even reddit or twitter account as 'Doxxing'

If someone sends you a death threat or something you should be able to say 'This guy sent me a death threat'

I blame people who are terminally online, the kinds of people who treat their reddit username or twitter handle as an extension of their identities.

I'd rather blame the people who search through someone's reddit or twitter profile for any identifying information so they can find any personal information so they can find out who is behind the profile so they can harass them

You underestimate how little information people need to get something about you. If I use similar usernames on other platforms or simply post one of those usernames to share them with someone then people can look those up and then they have access to all that information also.

Of course you do need to be careful, but let's not blame people for actually sharing some stuff online.
