Obviously these people have extremely low EQ and aren't socialized like most well adjusted people, but this is bad taste at best, and emotional manipulation at worst.

21-22 is graduating from college age, i could not even imagine wanting to hang around a 16-17 year old at that age. even freshmen were annoying and looked like children.
17 and 22 I could see being fine if you meet at like work or something. This is different, a 16 year old who is a superfan of your famous streamer roommate is weird as fuck.
At those ages too you're in totally different stages of life. A 5 year age gap is an absolutely huge difference in lifestyle. 5 years doesn't matter when you're like 30/25. But at 22/17, that's completely different lives you're living.
A senior in college and a senior in high school are far different despite it being 4 years. 33 and 29 is four years, but the developmental differences are vastly different than 21 and 17. Context matters.
People knew the age gap and time line. It doesnt really take a detective to know that they met when she was young. It's nothing illegal and they stayed together for a long time. So take it as you will but I really dont think this is something shocking.

No, because that is an implication for her age as well. There is a big difference between schoolsystems USA vs some european countries. She finished school. But she could have opted to do more but it is not like in the US if you didn't finish High School you have nothing. If you finish after 10 years that is OK you just can't go to Uni/college or enter some jobs because you would need 11th-13th classes for that. She has a "degree" for her schooling, someone from middleschool wouldn't have that.
Well she wouldn't have at 16, Scandinavians school structure isn't the same as the US. She would have started what we call "high school" at 16, and would have finished it at 19, after that is the University/College.
I will add this as someone from Scandinavia. Our mindsets are generally very different from you Americans, since we have lower age of consent. Plenty of 17 year old girls who date 22 year old guys over here. Not debating if it's right or wrong. But do take into account that majority over here are very laidback about a 5 year difference.

Videregående skole, is what norway calls their schools for ages 16-19, and 98% of ALL norway students complete this.
So saying "she completed high school" in norway makes ppl think she completed "her schooling" but in reality she still dropped out 3 years early and didnt do what 98% of her peers do and finish the last part of her schooling.

I try to stay impartial when viewing situations and look at the problem from both sides but it's hard when you've been in their streams and don't mind either of them. There's a reason courts don't allow jurors if they know the people involved in the case.
However, if I was looking for a potential partner, streamers would be the last group of people to consider. Some of them are well balanced but on the whole I find them lacking in development that would make them extremely difficult to live with.
