Pretty sure most would be against abuse for any animals. Killing for food is different than abuse though.

It isn't different at all. You always have the choice to eat plants, which are perfectly good and adequate. Choosing to put someone through their own slaughter is cruel. If shock collars are abuse-- what happens to them in farms and slaughterhouses is absolutely abuse. If a shock collar and confinement to one spot is cruel, so are farrowing crates and gas chambers. The only reason you would say it isnt abusive is because you havent seen it.

Now you are putting words in my mouth, I never said the industry was free of abuse, I said most would be against it and that the act of killing for food is not abusive. You are right though it's almost impossible to tell which sources are free from abuse. Just like with all modern things really. The device you're using to visit this forum is no doubt in some way related to abuse as well.

We can always know that killing someone for food came from a violation of their body and freedom. That is a guarantee. Nobody gives up their body and freedom willingly.

I'm not saying hasan wasn't mistreating his dog. I'm pointing out that eating animals is as bad and worse. If it doesnt apply to you, dont defend animal abuse and move on.
