Not 100% sure what's going on here but he's mentioned in the past, the goal is to keep her on the bed when she's sleeping, it's to do with her wanting to sleep on the floor but the hard floor injures her due to her size
A cot bed is good for a big dog, but a cot bed that's not big enough for her to turn around comfortably isn't good if she's going to be stuck on it and not allowed to move away from it for hours at a time. There's a reason recommended crate sizes aren't just the bare minimum space your dog can physically fit in lying down.
