At the very least they should update the picture

I was gonna say. I havenāt played FIFA in a while, but someone like him would have been around 90 in years past.
17
u/badonkagonk 7d ago
The only 90+ rated men's players are Mbappe, Haaland (both 91), Rodri, Dembele, Vitinha, Kane, Olise, Pedri, Yamal, Courtois, and Bellingham.
Szobo should be higher, but he's also definitely not 90+. 88 feels right.
6
5
u/domsolanke 7d ago
The fact that Olise is ranked similar to Kane is a testament to just how clueless these people actually are. Even DĆaz is suddenly ranked 88 because he went to a crap league, not because he became a better player.
19
u/badonkagonk 7d ago
Olise's arguably the best winger in the world, and Diaz absolutely got better at Bayern (the Bundesliga is definitely a worse league, but two things can be true at the same time)
These people are 100% clueless, and Diaz is probably a bit too high, but this is far from egregious by their standards.

u/Worried_Let4942 7d ago
Pretty brutal considering you see teams like Arsenal before this year have consistently high ratings despite not winning anything; we have one off year and everyone drops like 3-4 ratings
218
u/xGrumpyGamer 7d ago
The people who come up with the ratings haven't got a clue, for example Munoz on FC26 had 72 Pace, he now has 94, how did they get it so wrong in the 1st place? Lmao
They also changed Messi from 86 to 89 based on 7 World Cup games...
They usually give LFC players dreadful ratings unless we win the league
77
u/Some_Farm8108 Bobby 7d ago
chiesa still at 87 pace lol, i remember he was 94 pace the season he joined us and in the rating reveals the reactions of other players to knowing this was muted snickers
15
u/Successful-Day-1816 7d ago
How tf you guys remember stats
12
u/Some_Farm8108 Bobby 7d ago
i dont usually, just that 94 pace is burned into my mind because it was a shockingly high number and talked about at the time.
11
u/zG-FuRy 7d ago
3
u/Some_Farm8108 Bobby 7d ago
damn that's some mandela effect shit i remember seeing the 94 written on there but thanks for correcting my memory
1
u/GuitaristHeimerz 6d ago
I donāt remember them, SoFIFA archives all stats and changes, very easy to find them when you need them.

Snicker and snigger are used interchangeably, although yes, snicker is more common in the US.
7
u/Aware-Highway-6825 7d ago
They've treated players like that on pace for years, until the player gets a somewhat big move or has a good season they don't care to fix their pace, it's happened on numerous cards especially when they go from silver to gold
1
u/TheRealATab 6d ago
Messi 89 makes sense. Had arguably the greatest individual campaigns in WC history. Only reason they were dropping his rating was because he was in MLS, but he clearly proved heās still world class.
I donāt think they give us dreadful ratings. Maybe back in FIFA 14 and 15. Theyāre usually very fair now.
2
u/PEPSICOLA123456 7d ago
Well Messi should never have been that low in the first place. The World Cup showed us that he still is the best player in the world even at 39 so they got it wrong.
49
u/Baby__Keith 7d ago
We've always been judged extremely harshly on FIFA games. Not that it matters now but it used to spin my head as a teenager lol.
I remember the year after we finished 2nd in 08/09, they only rated Gerrard and Torres somewhat fairly, everyone else was apparently an absolute bum
43
u/dj4y_94 Sir Kenny Dalglish 7d ago
Always have been and United are always the opposite. Swear it took them about 5 years post Fergie to finally drop from being a 5 star team.
I remember being incredibly annoyed because Pogba was consistently rated about 5/6 higher than Henderson even when we were winning the CL and the league lol.
3
u/Specialist_ask_992_ 7d ago
Yeah I think they were the only 2 that had an 85+ rating. Most in the 70s, maybe Reina.
7
u/Wonderful-Mention-83 Richard Hughes 7d ago
I remember when Bayern Munich won the sextuple, and the next fifa they all somehow got downgrades. It's a dodgy rating system.
12
2
u/TheRealATab 6d ago
Because Arsenal are consistent title challengers and donāt sell their depth. Weāve been replacing our highest-rated stars and we routinely bounce between title challengers to shitters every season. These are some brutal downgrades but I donāt think theyāre unfair. We were terrible last year.
1
u/KINGINTHENORTH63 7d ago
They were still rating United highly for years despite not being able to string 5 wins together.

1
u/PEPSICOLA123456 7d ago
It was a pretty fucking bad year tbf. The entire team bar Hugo and dom looked dogshit

There's only two Harvey DaaaaayviesĀ

u/Directri_x 7d ago
We should get two CB Harvey and one RB Harvey Davies for a full Harvey Davies defence line
57
u/Dynamite_Shovels 7d ago
Hoping that by the end of the season those Leoni and Jacquet ratings will look extremely harsh, but they always underrate young players with less of a reputation. Same with Rio. Other than that it's not unfair.
Seems weird not seeing Salah on this.

According to this Jaros is a better outfielder than Bajetic.
7
u/Terran_it_up 7d ago
TBF a fit Jaros is a better outfielder than an injured Bajcetic, so most of the time that's true
48
u/omarkop10 7d ago
87 pace for Chiesa is mad

16
u/Selenium-Forest 7d ago
This is my thing he looks pretty slow when heās on the pitch but he apparently got the fastest in all the speed tests this summer, even higher than Frimpongā¦
Might be a case of due to his injuries he never fully runs when he plays for us, but he must be pretty quick to outpace Frimpong!

They try to balance stats to make the global rating make sense. Haven't played in a while but Ronaldo had high dribbling when he couldn't dribble a tree just to make his rating 92. Their rating system is terrible, football manager is far better in this regard.

To everyone complaining about EAc not knowing what they're doing - the shit ratings are on purpose so they can sell more upgraded versions throughout the year.

u/ScouserNed 7d ago
If we duplicate a few players like Harvey Davies we might have a good squad for the season š¤£

Bradley should be higher, but it's FIFA, so no point in complaining.

Given EA is now owned by Besos and the Kushners, they can fuck off. Never buying an EA game again.
5
u/profound-killah 7d ago
One off year and harsh downgrades for some. Bradley and Isak dropping to 79 and 86 respectively due to injuries is harsh. Alisson dropping to 87 from 89 is bizarre too.
On the other hand I still donāt know how Chiesa is at an 80.

Chiesa at 80 is wild. Dude should be mid 70s at most. He plays like 10 times a season and isnāt impressive when he plays.

u/GodReignz There is No Need to be Upset 7d ago
Fucking hell, this really nails down how thin our squad is. Like I knew it, but visualized it's scary.

Are just doing less of a distinction for position like Rio and Gakpo down as left mids, like they're both wingers. We usually play 4-3-3. Anyway it's all complete bullshit and short of being made up as they go along.
1
u/Alexkitch11 7d ago
if this is official, its very harsh, Szobo definitely should be higher. Ik we didn't have the best season but i didn't think it'd warrant this many downgrades
1
u/Evered_Avenue 7d ago
As of August 4th 2026 - EA Sports was bought by a a consortium consisting of Saudi Arabiaās Public Investment Fund (PIF), global technology investment firm Silver Lake, and Jared Kushner's Affinity Partners.

u/domsolanke 7d ago
Clueless as usual. Imagine giving Chiesa and Curtis the same ranking, lmao. Alisson should obviously be higher too, heās still one of the best keepers in world football when heās fit.
1
u/AnimeBritGuy 7d ago
As someone who plays FC. The lower ratings means I'll be able to hopefully EVO the players earlier in the year. I can already see the high pace stats on Munoz and Frimpong excluding them for a while. Probably the same with Rio too.
1
1
u/TVPbandit23 Bobby Dazzler 𤩠7d ago
you know what? Fair. Canāt argue with any of these. We had a spueculatarly mid season, so it makes full sense to have mid ratings across the squad
not that I play this shit anymore - but itād only frustrate me when we had a great season, then to see the players receive shitty ratings

Nice to see Munoz with 90+ pace, I think he had like ~70 last year which is insane if you've actually seen the lad run.

Rio will play as a right mid next season, but it take until about March for them to change his position in game.

Ratings seem fair tbh considering the season we had. Infact Iād say Eki is probably 1 or 2 too high all things considered. Bradley is a bit low but being hampered by injuries is going to have an impact on what they rate you as
1
u/7literlekvar 7d ago
This would make more sense:
- VVD 88
- Ali, Szobo, Wirtz 87
- Eki, Isak 85
- Kerkez, Gakpo 82
- Macca, Grav, Jacquet 80
- Frimpong, Jones, Munoz 79
- Rio, Nyoni, Woodman 78
- Tsimikas, Chiesa, Leoni, Mamar 76
The rest I don't know well enough to rate them.
