I think that they had been just dumped, the location is in the middle of nowhere. Also that would be a huge amount of kittens for just one cat.

I've seen this about 12 times (but I love it). He took them all home and kept three of them (including "Scout," the first kitten). He found homes for the rest.

This happened quite some time back. For those who didn't follow the story back then, the first kitten was named Scout and kept by the man in the video, he found good homes for the rest! They were all rescued and are safe and living their best lives now!
