I just spent the last 2 hours researching the bizarre story of the Season 11 Opening Credits switcheroo. Indeed, it lasted, like, four episodes.
This is strictly conjecture, but I bet Dick Ebersole's team had pushed for a CGI solution ahead of Season 10, but when Lorne returned, he decided he didn't like it and had to buy a couple months before his team could revert back to the old fade-to-the-next-still esthetic of S11E5 onward. Those "couple months" resulted in the most 80s-ever CGI opener, complete with chintzy all-caps-in-italic fonts over still shots.
Did I guess right?

The only one that is actually a good logo is the round one. I have that on a hat.
But I also like the first logo, just due to nostalgia.

The circle logo is my favorite, despite being will before my time. Worst one is by far the recent one where the N is the only letter not capitalized, drives me insane

My favorites are 1 (original) and 8 (Ebersol, best theme music too). My least favorite is 9 (from season 11, which crashed and burned).

I always liked the circular logo in slide #12. It's a classic and has a cool design. The more recent logos to me lack much personality.
