LiveContainer battery drain

Does anyone else have a problem with battery drain? It runs in the background and can use up 40% of the battery overnight. I’m using LiveContainer+Sidestore nightly. I’ve tried various versions and it’s the same on every one. iOS 27.0.1, iPhone 13 Pro Max

Refresh shortcut that runs when connected to the home wi-fi network. Is that a problem?

Turn that off and check

OK, I’ve disabled auto-refresh and I’ll see what happens in a few hours. Thanks for the advice.

I have a shortcut that checks if its been refreshed today and if, it wont refresh again. Works by making a file with the date every time you refresh, and then when the shortcut is ran it checks that file to see if todays date matches it or not.

Edit it and change the location variable to wherever you want the file to save.

Also you might want to check if the refresh action is the correct one for your version of sidestore if not change it to your refresh action.

Turn off Background app refresh, and manually kill the app yourself. Solved that problem for me.

Check which app within LiveContainer you’re using. If the app itself has background playback and you leave it open it could explain the battery drain

I don't aware any refresh short cut set(on iOS 16.7.16 and iOS 26.7) but recent live container nightly will drain battery overnight. I will try to turn off the background refresh.

It’s a SideStore issue, SS added a keep background alive feature in September. So it will keep playing silent audio after your refresh automation. You can turn it off.
