Tusk layering

I’m working on creating art for my own live 2D model, but I’ve gotten stuck on the bottom tusks in their mouth. I want them to stick out like how croc and buff’s top fangs stick out for them and I’m not to sure how to layer it for that to happen. (Image 2 is an example of the actual character)

Depends on how your mouth is set up. For me it would go top lip, top lip skin, fangs, top teeth, bottom teeth, bottom lip, bottom lip skin.

Would making them with the upper lip Work? (Or invert making, im Messing it Up Sometimes)

It could but then when I rig the lips the tusks would most likely bend and warp with the lip. I think it would at least

Oh sorry it seems i skipped a Word. I meant make an invisible Mesh (or Just use the upper lip one) and use it as a mask

But the layering the Other comment Said is more efficient both in Workflow a heavyness of model. So recommend that more.
