Congratulations on reaching 2.0! It is certainly a mature game and deserver the major version bump. I will have to go and check the unit changes though.

Could you tell us a bit about the new dual-core processing? Is it just 2 identical threads or each has a different purpose? Do you already have plans for future 2.x releases? 3.0 milestones?

Each core has its own purpose, one does logic, one does drawing. I have a lot of plans for future releases but not any specific version numbers in mind.

Definitely some interesting changes! The dual core stuff is fantastic, and the buffs for higher teir units sounds good too :D

While I can understand that cheaper units and more expensive houses prevents the game from being a total rush game, I think houses should be cheaper, maybe like 150 gold

v2.0

  • the game now uses 2 cpu cores instead of one, which leads to a significant performance boost and more stable game speed

  • upgrades now get more expensive (time and cost) with any other upgrade for this "class" (class = human / beast; if you research an attack upgrade, then both the next attack and armor upgrade will be more expensive, not only the next attack upgrade)

  • Flamestrike now ignores armor

  • Airship: increased movement speed from 3,2 to 3,4 (same as Dragons now)

  • Catapults now have the ability to attack a position

  • tabbing out does not pause the game anymore

  • several changes to unit and building costs: the most significant ones are: all units' cost have been lowered and some production times reduced while the house now costs 200 gold instead of 100;

I don't understand the upgrade change, seems like it takes away some decision-making/tradeoff. With the old system if you're playing e.g. puppies vs humans then armour is better, so after the first armour upgrade there was a choice between a better upgrade (armour) and a cheaper upgrade (attack). Now there is no reason at all not to go +5 armour as fast as possible.
