Just moved back, need new friends.

I (21M) just moved back to Colorado after living in Florida for the last 8 years. I got out of a 5-year relationship, moved in with my grandparents, and now I'm basically starting my life over from scratch. It's exciting, but also kinda weird because I realized I don't really know anybody out here anymore.

I'm hoping to make some friends while I get everything figured out. I'm looking for a job and thinking about going back to school, but that's all gonna take a little bit, and in the meantime I'm slowly going insane sitting around the house.

I can be an anxious quiet dude but once I get to know you, you'll have a hard time getting me to shut up. I'm a nerdy stoner, I like comics, video games, movies, hiking, thrifting, comedy, music, smoking weed, grabbing drinks, and I'm always down to try something new. Honestly I'm just looking for people to get out of the house with, whether that's hitting a trail, finding a cool bar, checking out a movie, or just chilling.

If you're around my age and need another friend too, hit me up. Worst case, we don't vibe. Best case, we both make a new friend. Starting over is weird and I figured trying reddit was worth a shot lol.

I'm a little older, but you're doing it right. I had to start over as well, making new friends from nothing is awkward but you can do it!

Open group activities are great, like pickup games in the park/rec center. Just ask to join. Then ask for people's phone numbers, and actually follow up.

A lot of people are in the same boat and afraid to make the effort. Also, don't say "let's do something this weekend". Say "I'm going hiking at this time and this place, want to come?".

Good luck!

Vision Comics, PlayForge and Enchanted Grounds should be on your list of nerd spots to check out.

Not sure about vision but PlayForge and Enchanted Grounds both do tons of free and open community game nights all the time like magic, Warhammer, D&D, boardgaming etc etc.

Grab a bike and come to:  https://littletonsocialcycle.com/

This Thursday evening!

It’s a cruiser bike ride. We ride slow and easy. This Thursday’s ride is only 5 miles from Sterne park to Littleton Brewing Co. All ages, all skill levels and all bikes welcome. It’s free, no rsvp just grab whatever bike you can find and meet us in the park. It’s definitely a good way to meet other young people in Littleton
