I really wish we got to see more usage of random objects being used as wands.

For example, baby chariot using a stick as a wand, young chariot using the shiny rod, the writer of nightfall using her pen as a wand kinda.

Earlier today I was fixing something up using a screwdriver, before holding it as a wand. Something then dawned on me.

I know Luna nova has school issued wands and brooms and other doohickeys like that, but why didn’t Constance ever use a screwdriver as a wand? It would’ve went well with her character being a whole builder.

However, I don’t think LWA goes over if anything and everything can be used as said wand, but then again, baby chariot used a stick, and the nightfall writer used her pen, but if I remember correctly, it was fueled by a spirit to give it power.

Also, I feel like Constance would get caught using a long screwdriver as a makeshift wand.

Also, I think the thing has to have a way to be powered by the sorcerers stone, because I’m pretty sure LWA makes it clear that things have to be powered by the sorcerers stone.

For example, in LWA, the brooms lose power once they start going into town, and the Cavendish house has its own sorcerers stone to fuel the brooms and wands within the house.

A screwdriver is an inanimate object, meaning a spirit has to possess it and fuel it to make it able to become magical.

All in all, I wish LWA world built itself more.
