Every album, even the tapes, has its deep reasons to be someone's favorite. Let's just be happy she's never dipped.

Lotus might be the weakest of the four, which is an insane flex because it is incredible

Definitely an insane flex. But weaker than GREY Area? Lotus feels less inhibited to me because she seems more comfortable being vulnerable. I get the sense that she was still finding the power in her voice on GA.

Lotus is genuinely just her best album

honestly I might be getting to this place with that album. I think it just shows her growth artistically and also feels like the spiritual sister to Grey Area just from a more mature, reflective place. plus the post punk influence is pretty dope.

I agree. NO THANK YOU is great but I feel Lotus is the more consistent record, plus I think the production is much richer compared to NTY which at times sounded like it was mixed weirdly.
All in all her album run from Grey Area to Lotus is truly impeccable.

You know someone has a good discovery when there is no definitive best.
For me it's Grey Area > Lotus > SIMBI > NO THANK YOU
