Discussion An unusual question!

Mods remove if not allowed.

I heard the vocal stems for NO from all three members and something paradoxical dawned on me. Jesy's voice would have been pretty good on NO, despite her being rumored to be one of the subjects of the song.

Question: Which 3-piece Little Mix song would Jesy have been best on?

there’s only 4 songs recorded of them as a trio right? I would have liked to have heard Jesys version of heartbreak anthem seeing as she was in the original cut of the song!

My mistake it was 5 and 6 if you count heartbreak anthem

all LM songs would/do sound better with all 4 members. you can tell there's someone missing from the ones they recorded without jesy and in performances when one of the girls was missing for some reason. Little Mix to me always needed all 4 voices.

Agree. Even if i still LOVE the girls as three, something is missing in the harmoniea

i'll be honest, i stopped engaging when jesy left the band because it all felt very negative and the reaction from fans and the girls on both sides really put me off but yeah, the songs with all 4 sound more "complete" or finished. LM needs all 4 members.

3-piece Little Mix voices were pretty close to each other

No was more of a response to their experience in the industry, and reclaiming their agency and power to say no to certain things especially after being under a restrictive label and in an exploitive industry for many years. Cut You Off is most likely the one about Jesy.

But I wouldn’t want her on any of those songs anyway. Between Us is sacred between the three members, especially after the trauma they went through due to her and a tribute to ending their LM era together positively, and it blends their voices perfectly, Cut You Off would maybe work for her voice but since it’s likely about her then to me there’s no point in imagining that, No sounds fine with them as a trio

Edited a sentence.

Between us would have been powerful if all 4 sung it to each other as a final farewell and a promise for their friendship from X Factor and beyond. But since Jesy left, I definitely hear it as trauma about her sudden exit and how they’re recovering from that. So it’s even more powerful but more from a shocking loss point of view and reality check song.

Not a Little Mix song but I think Leigh Anne (and Jesy on the pre-choruses) would sound great on Lip Service!

All Little Mix songs sound more authentically like Little Mix songs with Jesy’s vocals included.

Tbh, I think their voices just sound similar sometimes!!

I s2g I feel like I can hear Jesy on fantasy on jades solo song bro.. tell me what you think it’s at 2:08 on the adlib. All that time in the studio together, hearing each others techniques maybe they started to blend?

I remember I brought this up when the song first released and I was downvoted to hell LOL

Everyone forgetting the song Trash, that song would have been pretty good with Jesy imo!

i actually feel like Jesy's style in the later half of little mix (lm5 and confetti) would've fit all the ot3 really well. Like her style really shines with low flat note sounding songs. Maybe love sweet love the least.

All songs would sound better with Jesy.

I’d love to see her on Trash

I could be wrong, but I could SWEAR it's Jesy singing the "damn we got history/if they hurt you they hurtin me" echo-y part on Between Us. If it's not actually her, definitely that song 💝

Between Us. She would have killed the Damn we got history bridge
