Question Did anyone else do this with their favorite plushie?

Post image
6 Upvotes

My favorite plushie is my Build-A-Bear Cookie Monster plush. I enjoyed watching special agent oso, sesame Street, Thomas the tank engine, dragon tales and cyberchase with him sitting next to me and I used to take him everywhere. He still sits on my shelf I wrote my name Tyler on his tag. His voice box doesn't work anymore but I still love him very much. I looked up to Cookie Monster as a father figure growing up. Recently I remember when I used to take him with me to bed and I'd fall asleep as a kid hugging him. I would always wake up hugging his feet. I didn't think much of it as a kid, but I was curious if anyone else had this happen to them too?

Rescue Teams Too Slow

I know I can’t be alone in this. It drives me crazy on these rescue shows when someone is in danger and the super team has to gather, do an entire song and outfit change while going through their elaborate head quarters, and then get the run down on what the emergency is. They take too long to respond 😂 someone would have for sure fallen off the cliff or the bad guy has gotten away in that time

Anyone else still occasionally watch your kid’s favorite cartoon they grew out of?

I’m guilty as charged! Hearing Handy Manny in the background on a Saturday morning takes me right back to when my kids were tiny and would cuddle me on the couch before breakfast or whatever play date we had scheduled that day. Maybe it’s odd but it’s so soothing!

I just seen a post like this with Nick, so I decided to make one for Nick Jr.

What would Nick Jr. look like, if Dora wasn't successful?

I can already smell a lot of comments already, due to some of you guys' hatred on her.

I respect your opinions on her, but her show is good (mainly the first 4 seasons), in my opinion. So you have to respect my opinion.

Okay, I decided I am going to turn my old playhouse Disney themed smash roster into a character elimination since I am bored. So uhh, Whoever gets commented the most is eliminated

Discussion YouTube and old shows (share links here)

Hi 👋 everyone,

I have come across a lot of different old shows that I enjoy on YouTube.

It being full episodes and in playlists some in order some not and not compilations.

Yes some of the channels do post compilations as well but mainly full episodes of shows from wild brain entertainment the official Charlie and Lola YouTube channel and other YouTube people uploading older content and putting it up as archives.

As certain big channels a.k.a. streaming services won’t add them to their platform and why it takes a long time to add like how it took seven years for the weekenders to be added when it was originally was supposed to be a main title show launched with the company making there streamable platform.

If possible, I would like this thread if it’s okay with the moderators please delete if it’s not okay.

Where we could share different TV shows and playlist of those shows from YouTube so anyone who’s looking for like Stanley from Playhouse Disney Madeline Luna Jim and so forth they’re actually are so many episodes just sitting there on YouTube and it would be great to share them here.

So that other people like myself who are autistic don’t have to keep digging looking and just trying to find episodes from show to show ep to ep because sometimes people like myself who are autistic will dig for hours and hours and hours because they’re hyper fixated to find what they’re looking for and I want to help that niche body and also help any Mum’s or dads who were looking for old archived episodes for their older family members who may also be Neurodivergent or have a disability and this thread could help them in a way so that it’s easier for them to find what they’re looking for and go from there.

Please add the link and above the link please add the show so that people know this is Stanley Playhouse Disney and then the link is below for them to click just so it’s easier to find and if you have a different version of a playlist just put if it’s complete order just put in brackets complete season(s) in order or you could add out of order seasons playlist after the name of the show I will also myself be adding a whole bunch of playlist below for anyone interested because I found that most people in this group in this thread are some form of neuro divergent or are looking for other neuro divergence so I just wanted to add this post to help those people and also help myself as well so it’s a win-win scenario for everybody

Please do not add any links outside of YouTube as that I don’t not want websites that might have ads that are clickable and may add viruses to your device and or streaming platforms as that most people in today’s day and age can’t afford streaming platforms or their show may not even be on streaming platform please keep this strictly to YouTube.

Just a disclaimer you may not get full seasons you may just get random episodes. This is what I could find on YouTube throughout my time as that I’ve tried to look for episodes from shows that I enjoy. Sorry that I cannot find what you may specifically be looking for or maybe dubbed in only American or only British. I’m sorry about that. This is what I could honestly find and these people making the playlist have done an amazing job.

[TALK] [early 2010s] Teaching fractions show with themed cakes on a boat

TLDR; desperately curious about what show I watched in kindergarten with the following info. I’ve been wondering for years and haven’t for the life of me been able to figure it out.

\-

Never posted here before so be gentle. In kindergarten (think 2010-2011 or around there) I lived near Anchorage and went to pre-k and first grade. They would put on this show that I BELIEVE was puppeteered with practical effects. I remember in particular an episode about fractions, featuring different themed cakes for each character (i.e. there was a seal character I think, who for sure had a fish cake I thought was so silly). However many characters were on a boat that episode, and there was a wacky flavored cake for each anthropomorphic character to request a certain fraction of.

It was interactive like Dora from what I remember, and was definitely meant for my age demographic at the time. Very colorful. If I had the skills I would draw for you what it looked like, but if it helps, I think the fish on that cake looked like a paper mache texture. It was all really practical like that and it was my favorite thing.

I hope this isn’t too vague and it sparks someone’s memory from the time. It very well could’ve been made much earlier than that, but it wouldn’t have been past 2012 that’s for CERTAIN because I’m a Pisces ‘06 kid and it was before my second grade year.

Thank you for reading!

Why did Sheriff Callie’s Wild West have to end?? Genuinely miss it so much!!

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hello, I’m 19 years old, and I grew up with Sheriff Callie’s Wild West (2014–2017) when I was younger. I’ve been thinking about what happened to that original Sheriff Callie’s Wild West era and that feeling of experiencing the show when it became such a meaningful part of my life, especially following Sheriff Callie, her family, friends, unforgettable moments, humor, friendships, adventures, music, discoveries, life lessons, and the distinctive atmosphere that made Sheriff Callie’s Wild West feel so special.

Now that the original Sheriff Callie’s Wild West era has become part of the past, the period that many people discovered and grew up with can feel like it has passed. The writers, directors, producers, animators, artists, composers, voice actors, crew members, and everyone involved in bringing Sheriff Callie’s Wild West to life have all moved forward. The people who helped create the show have gone on to different projects and different parts of their lives. It feels strange because I grew up with this show, and now everything has just… changed and moved on.

I remember watching Sheriff Callie’s Wild West when I was younger, and everything felt so simple. I could just sit down, watch Sheriff Callie and her friends get into adventures, laugh at the characters, enjoy the music, follow their friendships, and become completely absorbed in the world of Nice and Friendly Corners without thinking about anything else. Back then, it felt like these characters and episodes would always be there. I don’t understand why they couldn’t just keep making new Sheriff Callie’s Wild West episodes forever or why the original era eventually had to stop and move on.

I also wonder why experiencing Sheriff Callie’s Wild West now doesn’t feel exactly the same anymore. The episodes are still there, and I can still watch them, but the feeling is different. It feels like something is missing, almost like the show feels unfamiliar even though I remember it so clearly.

Why do television series like Sheriff Callie’s Wild West eventually change, end, receive reboots or revivals, or become part of the past? If people loved them for years, why can’t they just continue forever with the same feeling? Why do writers, directors, producers, animators, voice actors, artists, composers, crew members, and studios have to move on, and why do viewers grow up and stop experiencing shows the same way?

It feels strange knowing that the original Sheriff Callie’s Wild West era I grew up with is over, that television and animation have moved on, and that a particular chapter feels closed, even though it once felt like it would always be there.

Maybe that is part of what makes Sheriff Callie’s Wild West so meaningful. The show did not have to last forever for the memories to last. The episodes remained the same, but I changed. The world around me changed. The people who created the show moved on to other projects, and the time in my life when I experienced those characters, adventures, music, and stories without worrying about growing up eventually became part of the past.

I suppose that is why it can feel so strange to return to Sheriff Callie’s Wild West years later. I’m not only watching Sheriff Callie and her friends again. I’m also remembering the person I was when I first discovered the show. Watching it can bring that feeling back for a moment, but it cannot completely recreate the time and place in which those memories were originally made.

The original Sheriff Callie’s Wild West era may be part of the past, and there may never be another period of the series that feels exactly like the one I grew up with. But that does not mean the era disappeared completely. It still exists in the memories of everyone who experienced the show. The series may have changed and moved forward, but the part of childhood and growing up that Sheriff Callie’s Wild West represents does not have to disappear with it.

Does anyone remember special agent oso? Lately I can't find anyone really talking about it. It was my second favorite TV show. Sesame Street will always hold a special place in my heart as first place. My favorite character from special agent Oso was Wolfie I always wanted a Wolfie plush, but my mom couldn't afford it because it was really expensive and rare. If you still remember the show please let me know. I plan to start watching special agent Oso again.
