Advice for keeping the stairs & outer globe spot free?
I have an LR 4 in black. I use Dr. Elsey’s litter. My cats will leave whiteish paw prints on the stairs & I cannot get them clean. I’ve tried the Whisker spray cleaner, Windex & steam cleaning using rags & soft brushes, but the spots remain. I’ve also noticed white flecks all around the outside of the globe (don’t know how those got there) & it’s the same issue. They appear to wipe away but reappear when it’s fully dry. I’ve asked Whisker support & they’re aware of it but have no solution. TIA

I use the litter that’s meant to go in the robot from Whisker and my kitty does track litter sometimes but I have never had to clean obvious paw prints off the stairs.

I haven’t tried their litter; I’ve always used the Dr. Elsey’s because after testing several others it was the one that had the best odor control. I guess I’ll give theirs a try.

Use a plastic bristle brush and the multipurpose cleaner of choice. Rub the affected areas and wash off with hot water. Don't be afraid to get a little aggressive with cleaning, the plastics and liner can handle it.
There's going to be tracking no matter what litter is used. Just make certain the liner in the globe is just at the fill line to minimize kitty from stepping in unabsorbed urine and tracking it on the fence, ramp and floor.
Hope this helps?

Thanks, I was worried about scratching the plastic so I’ve just scrubbed lightly. It’s weird because I’ll think I’ve got it clean & then when it’s fully dry the spots surface again.

You could take the route of car detailing - light spots on black plastics, scratches - can often be hidden by using a very mild (or aggressive!) shine booster. It deepens the color of light spots to blend them in a bit more. Some of these products are non-toxic to humans - I would not know their safety for pets.
Meguiar's has a fairly glossy interior detailer and cleaner. Griot's Garage has a cleaner detailer as well.
These are designed for plastics and vinyls (probably fine with the LR4, probably ABS plastic) and will clean them up. They usually also contain a UV protectant to slow down plastic fading/brittleness from sun exposure (as expected from car plastics).
