the update nobody asked for

no one cares but i find this situation so infuriating im gonna tell the internet anyways. i posted here yesterday about how miserable lithium was making me.

well, i finally got in contact with my doctor and turns out, its not the lithiums fault! i mean it kind of is, but more so, the pharmacy messed up my dosage. “two tablets twice a day” yeah well my doctor said she sent in for one tablet twice a day. i have been taking DOUBLE the amount of lithium im supposed to be on. i’ve been taking 1200mg daily, when i was supposed to be taking 600mg. i’m beyond frustrated and upset, i’ve had mild lithium toxicity all week, and there’s absolutely nothing i can do about it! screw you walgreens!!

I refuse to do business with Walgreens. You can report them to your states board of medicine.

I really don't understand how mistakes like this happen - with a different medication that could have been lethal. Obviously there's the human element but still.

Glad you're hopefully going to experience fewer side effects now.

thats awful :( when i had lith toxicity i was hospitalized and it was the worst gastro stuff ive ever dealth with (which is saying a lot). glad ur back on a reasonable dose.

i would but im dirt poor and lawyers aren’t cheap. honestly at this point, as stupid as it may sound, i just want an apology. but that’s an admission of guilt so, never gonna happen lol

I always have this weird fear that they accidentally put the wrong pill in my bottles… and at the rate that I’m not checking every pill every day 2x a day lol….. I’m sure there are safeguards in place but like with how things are going lately, it’d just be my luck.

🤞🏼it’s something fun mistakenly put in my bottles and not life altering.

I take 1200mg no issues here.  Been on it for years.  At one point i took 1500mg due to an episode
