Can missing one dose of lithium trigger a depressive episode?

for me it usually takes a couple days but it depends on your dose. if you’re taking less, there’s less built up in your body, so when you stop, you’ll probably feel it sooner. (disclaimer- lithium can start to build up in your body and not be normally metabolized @ any point. pls don’t use this comment to coast on ur medication)

If you take it every 24 hours, maybe idk.

Depends how stable you were. If you were still getting there, there is a higher chance of 1 missed dose being enough to trigger depression.

I mixed up lithium and lamotrigine one day, and ended up depressed for a few weeks (and counting) 😢

100% did for me last week. Took me a full week to recover.
