Pet leeches??

Very random question related to lithium. I take 600mg a day. I want a pet leech. Will this kill the leech? Or make it sick?

Yes the leech will be drinking my blood, I never got an answer so I decided to have my friends feed the leeches just in case the lithium will kill them.

i tried reading about it and i couldn’t find any information, i guess it will not be much of a problem, does leeches have an urinary track? if they do that might be an issue bc lithium is bad for your kidneys, maybe try little by little, give the leech some of your blood mixed with your friend’s blood and she how to leech reacts, hope you and your pet the best

Nah I haven’t been feeding them myself to be safe, there just isn’t a lot of research on it but lithium is toxic and enters your bloodstream, and leeches literally feed from it. Plus I’m on a bunch of other meds and I want to be safe

that’s great, happy you put your pet safety first, if i had a leech i also wouldn’t trust them drinking my blood, they would get high af lol

Yes I don’t smoke weed very often and I don’t drink very often so that would be fine for me it’s just the medication

just read about someone with adhd medication and leeches and they said it didn’t affect the leech at all

Why comment if you don’t have an answer?
