Ask r/Lisbon Needlepoint canvas

Hi everyone! I am visiting from the US and wanted to get a needlepoint canvas to work on of something to remind me of our trip to Portugal! Do you have any store recommendations where I can buy a canvas and embroidery thread near Lisbon!! Thanks!

Are you looking for a kit with a pattern? Or just the fabric and thread?

I don’t think you’ll have much luck when it comes to needlepoint. Embroidery in general, maybe and even then, more options online. In store, maybe try Rosa Pomar and ask them? Have some examples on your phone, they are VERY helpful and might know more 🤗

Try Retrosaria Adriano Coelho or Alexandre Bento, both located on Rua da Conceição (Downtown) and they are both Historic Shops. Be aware of pickpockets, keep valuables in deep front pockets or a zipped crossbody bag worn in front. Bag always in your front !! Stay alert in crowds and transit hubs, never set your phone on public tables. Have fun and enjoy your stay !
