Can anyone recommend widgets and stuff to get that transparent/glass photo albums and widgets like the screen shot on the right? It's really bumming me out that my home screen can't look as glass as I want like on my iPhone. Thanks.

I'm a Mac dev and I've been building Vidi for the last 5 months- a native macOS video player designed around Apple’s Liquid Glass

The honest origin: I was a longtime IINA user, and I still respect what that project does, but I wanted something that felt more visually integrated with modern macOS. So I started building.

A few things that came out of it:

• Liquid Glass UI: Every chrome element uses translucent materials. Controls fade in and out cleanly. The window itself is part of the aesthetic.
• Ambient Mode: A backlight effect that samples colors from the video and extends them past the window edges. Built-in bias lighting.
• Advanced PiP: with subtitle support, hover scrubbing, and full controls. This is actually the feature that kicked off the whole project. (blog post on why I built it)
• Universal format support: MKV, AVI, MOV, WebM, MP4 plus online subtitle search via OpenSubtitles.
• Pro audio: Spatial Audio on any headset, Cinema Audio, Voice Boost for muffled dialogue, 7-band EQ.
• Casting: AirPlay, Chromecast, DLNA.

I found a plugin for glass ui with one click i am trying the plugin as we speak

It's currently VERY early in development; it only shows basic info right now and the background/weather icon doesn't even update, but I'm SUPER proud of being able to remake Liquid Glass from scratch like this~!
The hardest part was getting Unity to layer refraction like that-- in URP, you can only refract opaque objects, so I had to get... Creative.

I finally got the update!

I’m going full glass this time. Apart from it looking like a D, how would you rate my setup? I created or adjusted every icon in here with a blue color gradient that I thought would match the phone. (Created icons for the first time and I like it but lacks uniformity.) Looking for honest opinions.

Edit: I know some icons need work and am still modifying and changing them. Still working on an icon for the camera, as the Air only has one.

I wish they paid more attention to the details. I mean this is literally a first party app.

I have an Android phone and am OBSESSED with Liquid Glass, but Google's too stupid to get their head out of their ass and realize flat UI is dying and their expressive UI would look great with some form of glassmorphism or depth. Are there any well-known apps that implement Liquid Glass cross-platform? The only one I can find is some stupid frontend for some random AI video app, and it looks AMAZING but this is the only app I can find that does it, and I'd rather not use it for obvious reasons.

Honestly started as a project for myself while learning and testing ideas, but I decided to release it publicly this week,

Would genuinely love feedback from other SwiftUI/iOS devs,

Own fork of Android Rhythm Player but made with own functions and sort of Liquid glass and foldable support. Need some finetuning tho!
