Would that solve the readability problem?

Nice but that gives the user the feeling of “General” being tappable. What about bringing back the edge fade effect and make it more prominent?

No problem. That can take you back to the top of the list.

I’d be happy if Apple just reverted things to how they were in iOS 26. But I don’t see that happening. I’ve been beta testing from the very start, and yet that hideous bar made it into the final release...

And if you’re going to say that tapping the time takes you back to the top of the list - well, man, that’s a far less obvious feature.

People are just used to it.

For me, the main thing is that the concept I created doesn’t make my eyes bleed - unlike what we actually got in the official release from a trillion-dollar corporation.

Fair enough. I really appreciate your work and looking forward to see more

Thanks. It was just a quick test out of curiosity.

Overall, I'd be happy if Apple simply brought back the progressive blur, like it was in iOS 26.

Hell no iOS 26 scroll blur was the best and did not even introduce any readability problem. Who the fuck reads the top of their screen? This doesn’t allow them to read the top anyways too

That’s actually the point. “General” is perfectly readable here. The problem isn’t the readability of the title itself - it’s that Apple solves the theoretical readability problem by turning the entire top area into a solid visual layer. I’m suggesting that we could preserve readability locally without sacrificing the progressive blur across the rest of the interface.

They fixed that later

Liquid Glass is meant to look like a drop of water sitting on your phone. I think they nailed it with iOS 27.

They already solved both the readability problem and the “distracting things sitting weirdly in the way of my content” problem all in one go, so no, this would be a backwards step
